The term "instructional doodling" is an oxymoron.
Separating the drawing process into two psychological activities , the intentional conscious mind , or "instruction" part and the wandering subconscious mind the "doodling" part.
The drawing activity is already a combination of these two unified processes, just more or less in proportion , the more intentional drawing for a purpose are graphics design drawing , drawings for animation , product design drawings or architectural drawings while the less intentional processes are used by artists when they let their mind wander in their creative processes.
These creative wanderings can transmute into other forms of media such as painting , sculpting , music , stories , dancing , performances ....
Only the drawing form is the topic of interest here , the imprint of the mind or the state of mind into a drawing.
Applying Cartesian Dualism , or split between Mind and Body into separate entities could be easier than Mind ( conscious ) and Mind ( subconscious ) as this division has a high tendency of unknowing entering the door of self-deception or the other door of schizophrenia or forward rolling into the rabbit hole of eternal darkness.....
Instructional doodling is an oxymoron.
